Met here with friends here for a early brunch before some weekend thrifting and it was such a cool spot. It had been on my list and definitely lived up to the hype! It's a fast casual spot that has ample seating, including an outdoor patio (though it is facing the busy road), plenty of indoor seating as well. They do have limited parking, but we were lucky to snag a spot. There was also street parking behind the building in the neighborhood, but not sure of the rules on that! The vibe is sort of modern Southwest-y, clean and bright with space. Lots of wood tones, texture, windows and overall just really lovely! They have a great menu of coffee beverages, cocktails and a line up of beers. It seemed as all their cocktails are batched or at least the two we got, the hatch chill marg and old fashion. They were both DELICIOUS. I do not have any issue with batch cocktails, if they are made properly and of course make things more efficient, these both hit the mark and I would get again. Perfectly balanced. My husband and I shared their daily quiche that came with a side salad. It was delicious and perfect lighter option. I would definitely get again. They had a whole other line up of menu items, such as steak and eggs, breakfast sandwiches, pastries and more. I truly cannot wait to return and try again. They give you pastries immediately, any other dishes they hand you a number and the team brings it out. Cocktails we also got immediately. They are definitely a well oiled machine and have their system down pact. The back of the building is a high end thrift shop featuring primarily furniture, though they do have more than that. It was super fun to sip on our bevvies and scope out all the cool items. The shop opened as 11, and I am not sure of the exact name, but cool addition! I look forward to returning and indulging in one of their many other delicious offerings!
The food and service was impeccable and the atmosphere feels like you're at a lounge, diner, and like you stepped back in time. Service was great one of the food runners noticed my group was large and worried about sitting all together so she put a reserved tab to hold a table while we finished ordering! They even put a candle on the waffle and caviar dish for my friend whose birthday it was!
A stylish spot with great vibes, perfect for a relaxing weekend brunch. I enjoyed the classic breakfast sandwich, which was simple yet satisfying, and the halibut tostada, which was fresh and herbaceous. The coffee menu offers fun and creative options, though the drinks themselves were just okay. On the pricier end, but the inviting atmosphere makes it a great place to meet up with friends. I'll have to return for dinner or even an afternoon study session.
The pastries are very original and delicious . Service excellent they are very nice The ambience is very relaxed and chill
I read about the brunch here although we came for dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the space's aesthetic. The food overall was good, and the most memorable was the chicken heart skewer. I loved the mixture of flavors and textures. The salad dish and the tartar were yummy as well.
After hearing about Valentine's James Beard award nominations, we decided to check it out for brunch on a Saturday. Upon arrival we noticed it's a walk-up style restaurant where you order at the counter, and then they bring you out your food. I ordered the taco trio with house-cured bacon, egg, nopales hash, and queso dip, which was good but a bit overly sweet. My husband chose the tonkatsu pork chop with green chili gravy, two eggs, and a biscuit. The pork chop was good, but the chili gravy was a bit bland. We both ordered a drink, and my espresso martini was the highlight of our meal; it was the best thing we ordered. Overall, it's a cool spot to check out due to its unique concept, as they have an antique furniture store in the back, but you might want to sit outside since inside is super loud and it's a bit hard to hear each other's conversation. I think if we go again we will try some of their homemade pastries as they all looked pretty amazing!
We were looking for a spot with some cool, small bites recently and landed on Valentine. What a great find! Their BTG wine list is solid and my cocktail was delicious. I also ordered their N/A hatch chili yuzu lemonade - what a treat! Not overly sweet and such an interesting flavor profile. Food - we ordered: Pretzel. What a cool crust! Delicious. Grouper Crudo - the banana and passion fruit was wild. So good. Tartare - big hit, and the chicharrones were huge! Elote pasta - WHAT. So good. It is even shaped like a corn cob on the plate! I would come back just for this. Their servers don't seem to have assigned sections as we had multiple people check in on us and make sure we had everything we need. Very attentive. Will definitely be back to check out their coffee and brunch menus.
Brought in a friend from out of town based on another friends suggestion. I initially ordered the octopus. Mistake. It didn't smell or taste edible. I ordered the beef heart instead based on the waiters suggestion. I was starving by that time- it didn't Do anything for me either, but I ate it anyway. My take away is you can't go wrong with the drinks! Go for the drinks!
